Bhartiya Gramin Punarrachana Sanstha's Mumbai B.Ed College for Women, Mumbai, Maharashtra started its first academic session of imparting comprehensive education to the aspirants, in 2004-2005. The college is affiliated to Shreemati Nathibai Damodar Thackersey Women's University (SNDT Women’s University) and has gained the recognition from National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Bhopal. Working under the guidance and sponsorship of Bhartiya Gramin Punarrachana Sanstha, the educational institution conducts one year of full-time undergraduate degree level Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course in both English and Marathi medium. Since its inception, Mumbai B.Ed College for Women is dedicated to the cause of producing proficient teachers. The autonomous educational institution offers modern amenities and conducts seminars on a regular basis.

The mission of the college is to inculcate world class competencies in the functional areas for the current era to prepare the students to handle the perpetual change through infusing reality into the classroom experience, emphasizing field based problem and focused research at an early stage. The main aim of this programme is to develop a group of qualified teachers who can take up the assignment of teaching at school levels. The B.Ed. Course conducted at Mumbai B.Ed College for Women is a combination of several vital aspects like child psychology, Interactive learning, communication skills, discussion forums and pedagogical knowledge. The course is open for all students who have completed their graduation from a recognized University.
