About College

Budge Budge College was established on the 10th December, 1971 at Achipore with the purpose of imparting meaningful education to the student of the locality who had to face serious problems in respect of admission in different Colleges in kolkata. It had a small beginning. 

The College, at first, started in the domestic house donated by Late Rani Bala Dhar with a very limited number of students, teaching and non teaching staff. Subsequently, it was shifted to Senpukur wherein classes were held at a residential building donated by Late Charu Bala Dasi, wife of Lata Nagendra Nath Das.

At that time the university of Calcutta granted affiliation in pre-university (Arts &Commerce) & B.Com,Pass Course. The College got extension of affiliation in 1973 in B.A course.
