CMS College of Engineering and Technology (CMSCET), Coimbatore is an institute for technical education established in 2009 managed under CMS educational and charitable trust. The college is affiliated to Anna University of Technology, Coimbatore and approved by AICTE, New Delhi. The motto of the college "challenge meets success" emphasizes its great mission of education. Their vision is a centre of excellence, capable of empowering seekers of knowledge through holistic education. Their mission is to create worthy citizens by providing holistic, qualitative, value based education and makes them creative members of global society. The main goal is to provide added infrastructure to the students to develop their talents and support them to pursue their areas of interest. The healthy practices of the institution bring about an attitudinal change in a sense of neighborhood management.  It gives much exposure to the immediate environment instilling a sense of responsibility and community belongingness, which in turn empowers them to make a positive contribution to the society.

CMS College of Engineering and Technology has separate hostels for Boys and Girls inside the campus, with well furnished and spacious rooms. The hostels have excellent water facility, modern kitchen and dining. The students are provided with the choice of vegetarian and non vegetarian food. The rooms are furnished with individual cots, tables, chairs, and bureau. Importance is given in maintaining discipline and security of the students. The resident warden of each hostel takes care to see that all the needs of the students are met and a homely atmosphere with a sense of security is created. Immediate medical care is given to hostel students on requirement. The placement cell of  CMS is constituted to provide the right perspective regarding the various career options available to the students and sufficiently train them to choose and pursue their careers of choice. The training program encompasses a three stage process to train the students to make them ready for the industry and develop the etiquettes of the corporate world. The placement department supports students with resources and ideas, a database, notification of new placements etc. The college committed to the total upliftment of the society by imparting quality professional education, aiming at modeling totally competent professionals with ingenuity, adaptability, social commitment and ethical spiritual values by creating a congenial academic ambience that kindles innovative thinking, continually upgrade the quality management system through empowerment and involvement.
