Dr. M.G.R Educational & Research Institute College of Nursing, Chennai was established on 2005 by Tmt. Kannammal Educational Trust instituted in the year 1985. The Trust is a Faculty under the Dr. M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute University as per the orders of the University Grants Commission dated 13th September, 2006. The course was approved by Tamilnadu Nurses & Midwives Council. 

They value academic honestly, morally and responsibly. They hope to bring attention to issues of national relevance and global concern.
