The Empee Institute of Hotel Management and catering technology has come in to existence on 5th August 1994. Mr. M. P.Purushothaman is the Chairman and Founder of the Empee Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology. He has a versatile personality who is actively involved with several industrial and educational activities. He is the chairman of well known “Empee Group” consisting of Star Hotels, Alcoholic Beverages, Sugar Mills, Chemicals, Distilleries, Power generation etc. 

Since inception of the Empee Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology in 1994, it has strived hard to sustain the exemplary academic excellence. The Empee IHMCT has produced so many toppers and rank holders, which brought the present frame and glory to the situation.
