Modern Engineering and Management Studies (MEMS), Orissa has been established in 2008 for promoting the technical education in the field of Engineering and Management etc for the aspiring youth. The institute is affiliated to the Biju Patnaik University of Technology and all the courses offered by the institute is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.

The institute envisions to emerge as a visionary institution and to become a dream boat for knowledge seekers in the field of technical and management education. Their missions is to produce technical leaders with global exposure to emerging frontiers of technology, industry and management so that they can fit in to the latest global standards keeping pace with time.

The institute is built in a well planned pollution free environment. It is located in Balasore, the Sand City of Orissa and the Missile Test Centre of India. Built in an area of about 1,00,000 square foot of technical infrastructure, it promises to provide the best possible technical education in Orissa. The campus is built at Banparia on NH 5 near Kuruda, which is only 5 Km from Balasore Railway Station and the Bus Stand.
