S.A. Polytechnic College is maneged by DharmaNaidu Educational and Charitable Trust and it is Approved by AICTE. The main objectives is to render services in the field of education by catering to the needs of rural and semi - urban people in and around Chennai, to fulfil the ambitions of the parents of Trustees. To impart Quality education and to compete with advancement of technology at global level.

The name of S.A. Polytechnic was changed to S.A. Polytechnic College, as per G.O MS No. 62 dt. 13 - 03 - 2002 of Higher Education (B2) Department of Govt. of Tamilnadu, S.A. Polytechnic College started during academic year 1996 - 97 with an annual intake of 180 students, was functioning in E4, IIIrd Avenue, Anna Nagar East, Chennai - 102 in temporary Premises, till it was shifted to its permanent location in Sundarasolavaram, Chennai - 77 during 1997 - 98 with an intake of 300 students.
