Central University of Gujarat, a Central University established by an Act of Parliament 2009 (No. 25 of 2009) came into existence on 3^rd March 2009 and is fully funded by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India through UGC. The university currently operates from campuses in Sector 29 and 30, Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The University invites online applications from eligible candidates for admissions to its academic programmes. An Online Entrance Test would be conducted at 17 Centres across India. The Central University of Gujarat (CUG) invites applications from eligible candidates for admission in the different programmes / courses such as M.A., M.Sc., M.L.I.Sc., M.Phil. & Ph.D. Programmes for the Academic year 2015-16. Admission of various courses in Central University of Gujarat is based on Entrance Examination conducted by the University. Interested candidates can apply online in the university website from 25^th May 2015 to 20^th June 2015. The Online Entrance Test will be conducted on 05^th July 2015.

Note:

Candidates appearing for M.Phil.-Ph.D. programmes need to pass the qualifying examinations with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade point.
Final Year Appearing Candidates: Candidates appearing in the final year of qualifying examinations may also apply. However, they would need to produce relevant documents at the time of admission for scrutiny.
UGC/CSIR/JRF Cleared Candidates: Candidates who have cleared the UGC / CSIR / JRF examination need not appear for the entrance test. They would be called directly for the interview. However, these candidates must apply online for admission to relevant courses in the University. If any candidate wishes to appear for the entrance test, they can do so.
Appearance in More than One Programme in the Entrance Test: Candidates can apply for more than one programme through the same application form provided they meet the minimum eligibility criteria. A candidate may opt for a maximum of three programmes for entrance tests of her/his choice. Before opting for this choice, though, the candidate should see the schedule of examination on the website and ensure that there is no clash in the three examinations opted for (opted examinations should not fall in the same session).
Concession for the Wards of Kashmiri Migrants in the Matter of Admission: Concessions to Kashmiri migrant students in the matter of their admission would be provided as per the prevailing guidelines of MHRD/ GOI rules.
Medium of Entrance Test and Teaching: The medium of Entrance Test as well as teaching and research at Central University of Gujarat is English except in the language courses that are conducted by the School of Language, Literature and Culture Studies.
