The Central Institute of English was the brainchild of the first Prime Minister of India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. CIE, as it was called then, was set up in 1958 in Hyderabad to train teachers of English. In April 1972, the Institute broadened its scope to include the major foreign languages, and was renamed the Central Institute of English and Foreign Languages. CIE became CIEFL, and in July 1973 in recognition of its high standards of excellence, the University Grants Commission accorded the Institute the status of a deemed university. English and Foreign Language University ( EFLU ) had announced the Entrance Examination for various courses in Under Graduate, Post Graduate, Doctoral Programme ( Ph.D ) and Diploma / Certificate Programme. EFLU conducts the entrance examination for admit the students in various campus such as Hyderabad, Shilong and Lucknow campus. Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for the Academic year-2018

The English and Foreign Languages University ( EFLU ) Entrance Examination Application Procedure-2018:

For UG, PG, Ph.D. and Diploma / Certificate Courses:

Download the Prospectus and Instructions from the official website and check the academic programmes offered and the eligibility criteria for each programme.

Keep the scanned copies of the following documents ready

photograph

signature

caste certificate, if you belong to SC/ST/OBC categories

WDP/PWD certificates issued by a competent authority, if you are seeking admission against the WDP/PWD quota

credit card/debit card/Net banking codes, if you are paying the fee online

JRF certificate, if you are a JRF awardee.

Also keep a valid email ID and Mobile phone number with you.

Fill in the Online Registration form:

Click on EFLU Registration Online to get the application form.

Complete the details required, upload your passport photograph, signature and certificates if any, and your mode of payment. Then click the Submit button.

Retain your Username and Password that appear for further reference. You will also receive an SMS and email alert informing you of the same.

Print the Bank Challan/s that opens on the link (for challan mode of payment) OR Pay the required fees online using Net banking / Credit Card / Debit Card of any bank following the link that appears (see Instructions for Payment of Entrance Test Fee for more details).

Once the payment is made, you will receive an SMS and email confirming your payment.

Download the Admit Pass:

You will receive the system-generated Admit Pass. Download it, keep it safe and bring it to the Test centre on the Entrance test date.

Submit the hard copy:

After payment authentication,

Take a printout of the application

Affix a photograph in the appropriate box and

Mail it along with the Bank Challan ( applicable for Challan payment only ) and copies of other relevant certificates ( age, eligibility qualification, caste, distinction in games and sports, JRF, physically challenged etc. ) to:

On the date announced, (see website for information) download the Admit Pass using the same username and password.
