Govind Ballabh Pant University Of Agriculture and Technology ( GBPUAT ) Entrance Examination

Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar was established in 1960 by an Act of the State Legislature of Uttar Pradesh ( XLV of 1958 ) in the Tarai region of Uttar Pradesh (now Uttarakhand). It was dedicated to the nation on 17th November 1960 by the First Prime Minister of India, Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru. Applications are invited for Entrance Examination-2015 for admission to Undergraduate, Masters’, MCA (except M.Tech.) and Ph.D. programmes of the University from the Bonafide residents of Uttarakhand. The admission to M.Tech. programmes will be done on the basis of GATE score and B.Tech. merit. Candidate from other states may apply for admission to M.C.A., M.Tech. and Ph.D. Programmes only. The Wards of Kashmiri Migrants and J & K Residents may apply for admission to Undergraduate Programmes only.

 For Undergraduate and Masters’ programmes , MCA Program:

For General / OBC: Rs. 1000.00

For SC / ST / PH: Rs. 500.00

Cost of Offline Prospectus & Application form Rs.200/- and Post Office Handling charges Rs.50/-

The application form and Prospectus can be obtained by two modes:

(i) By Post:

A request letter to the Coordinator Admissions, G.B. Pant University Agriculture & Technology, Pantnagar alongwith a crossed bank draft of Rs. 200/- drawn in favour of PEECRF A/C, G.B. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, Pantnagar payable at S.B.I./U.Co. Bank/PNB, Pantnagar and 30 x 25 cm size self-addressed stamped envelope bearing postage stamps worth Rs. 57/- for Registered Post.

(ii) Post Offices:

On cash payment at the Designated Post Offices by depositing Rs. 200/- + Rs. 50/- as handling charges. (iii) The candidates appearing in the qualifying examination can also apply provided that they must produce original mark-sheet of final year indicating class / division obtained at time of counselling failing which their candidature will not be considered for counselling.

Last date for receipt of completed application form

 For UG, Masters’, MCA and Ph.D. programmes  : 09-04-2015

 For M. Tech. programmes and Sponsored candidates for all programmes : 09-05-2015

The candidates are advised in their own interest to submit their application forms well in time. The last date for submission of application form is 09.04.2015.

The application delivered either by post or personally after 09.04.2015 shall not be entertained under any circumstances.

The candidates are requested to apply via one mode only: online OR offline.

If Candidates have a valid personal e-mail ID, they are requested to enter it in the Application Form. The Registration number, password, admit card for written test and call letter for counselling

Any other important communication will be sent on the same registered e-mail ID of candidate (also check mail in spam box).

The candidates can submit fee in three modes:

1. Demand Draft [DD]

2. Bank Challan

3. University Cash Receipt

Demand draft:

Draft in favour of “PEECRF A/C G.B. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, Pantnagar, payable at State Bank of India (code 1133)/United Commercial Bank (code 678)/ Punjab National Bank (code 4446), Pantnagar.

Bank Challan:

In case of Bank Challan, the candidate should deposit examination fee by presenting the printed bank challan after all steps of on-line filling of form to any branch of State Bank of India on all bank working days ( after minimum 24 hrs of generation of challan on any bank working day ).

The Bank will return to the candidate one copy of bank challan after accepting the examination fee as a token of receipt. The copy of challan will contain a transaction number & date of transaction.

Candidates are advised to keep with them the copy of the bank challan as a token of remittance of fee for future reference.

On successful registration of on-line application, candidates are advised not to attempt for registration for the same Course again since multiple registration numbers and passwords may create problem for candidates in future. In case of multiple registrations for the same Course, the candidature is liable for cancellation / rejection without any notice/intimation to the candidate.

University Cash Receipt: Mention the cash receipt number and date.
