PTU CET 2021 Application Fees

Admission Procedure: Each and every aspirant must fulfill pre-requisite or Punjab CET qualification criteria for B.Tech / BE or B.Arch described, then only he/she will get Punjab CET Engineering admit card.

1.) Should have passed 10th and 10+2 examination as a regular candidate from recognized institution situated in Punjab. Each candidate would be required to submit a certificate to this effect from the Principal / Head of Institution last attended in the prescribed format.

2.) Candidates who are appearing in the qualifying examination shall also be eligible to appear in the Punjab CET entrance test. The admission of such candidates to the PTU Entrance Test shall be purely provisional and shall stand cancelled, if they fail to produce their eligibility at the time of counseling.

3.a.) Admission to 15% seats will be made on the basis of AIEEE merit and information regarding this will be available on PTU website www.ptu.ac.in in April-2012. Students have to register online for this category.  b.) For eligibility for 85% seats category candidates should be a resident of Punjab State in terms of Punjab Govt.c.) Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (PP II Branch) letter no. 1/3/95-3PP II/9619 dated 6th June 1996 and letter no. 1/3/95-3PP II / 81 dated 1st Jan 1999.  4.) The eligible PTU CET candidates should have passed 10+2 examination or its equivalent examinations with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory and any one out of Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Computer Science / Biology as optional subjects and pass in English conducted by a recognized Board / University / Council. 5.)  Any applicants who have passed their 10th or 10+2 examination with Science Stream and have passed Diploma in any Engineering Trade from Punjab State Board of Technical Education, Chandigarh or Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering & Technology Longowal (SLIET), or examination from any other recognized State Board of Technical Education are also eligible. 6.) Admissions are done on the merit basis of Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by PTU, Jalandhar. The admission for second year of B.Tech is done on the merit basis of entrance test LEET. Management Admission Criteria: Admission to Punjab CET engineering courses through management quota as specified in the prospectus will be done at the campus itself.

The Management shall fill these seats in accordance with the following order of preference:

1.) Merit in State-Level entrance test to be conducted by the Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar.

2.) Merit in All India Entrance Test, wherever is applicable.

3.) Marks secured in the Qualifying examination.

(i.)  He/She possesses a good moral character.

(ii.) He/She fulfils the conditions mentioned in the Punjab Government notification incorporated in the P.T.U. Brochure.

(iii.) He/She is a citizen of India.

4.) For NRI seats in Punjab CET , the Government notification on the issue, will be enforced. For any clarification/dispute, the decision of Vice-Chancellor, Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar shall be final and binding on all concerned.

The PTU engineering course fee will be as per the notification of the PTU/Government of Punjab. The fee once paid to Punjab CET for  admission will not be refunded.
