Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research [SICSR] SET Entrance Examination Admission Details – 2015

Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research [ SICSR ] has offered  following courses.

For  BBA / BCA  - 2015

BBA (IT):

Bachelor of Business Administration (Information Technology) ( 3 years Full Time Bachelor's Degree programme )

BCA: Bachelor of Computer Applications

(3 years Full Time Bachelor's Degree programme)

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates passing qualifying examination through part-time / correspondence course are not eligible.

Reservation of Seats:

For all the Under Graduate ( BBA-IT & BCA ) programmes

SC: Scheduled Caste: (15% of intake capacity)

ST: Scheduled Tribe: (7.5% of intake capacity)

(SC / ST candidates are required to attach a copy of the cast certificate attested by a competent authority.)

D: Defence: (5% of intake capacity)

(For serving or retired defense personnel and their children. These candidates need to attach: dependent i-card or certificate issued by unit commander or adjutant or discharge certificate or certificate from zila sainik board (ex-servicemen))

DA: Differently Abled: (3% of intake capacity)

The seats will be allotted as per the guidelines given in "Persons with Disabilities Act, 1995 (Sec 39)"

Over and above intake capacity:

K: Kashmiri Migrants (2 seats per programme)

(Kashmiri Migrant students will be admitted only if they submit the certificate issued by the Relief Commissioner of Jammu & Kashmir state.)

Quota for International students:

F: International Students: ( 15% per programme )

(Admission to the International students is as per the rules of SIU. All admissions to International students will be done through the International student’s cell.

Selection procedure consists of following steps:

1.            The candidates who have registered for SICSR will be short-listed for GD / PI based on their SET test score.

The acceptance of fees by the institute does not mean that the admission is confirmed, as all admissions are subject to fulfillment of eligibility criteria of SIU.

The distribution of marks for the selection procedure will be as follows:

SET Test: 100 Marks [50% of SET Score]

Group Discussion: 20 Marks

Personal Interview: 30 Marks

Application Procedure:

Step 1: Entrance Test Procedures for SET

All Indian students who wish to apply for the BCA or BBA (IT) programme of our institute are required to appear the 'Symbiosis Entrance Test ( SET ), which will be held on 3rd May, 2014. Without this test score, no student is entitled for admission to any course of Symbiosis International University.

Register online at http://www.set-test.org

Payment of Rs. 1500/- for taking the entrance test through any one mode of payment specified at www.set-test.org and send proof of payment to the SET secretariat

Step 2: To apply to Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies & Research ( SICSR )

Log on http://sicsr.ac.in

On the home page click on "Online Registration for BBA (IT) – 2014" & "Online Registration for BCA – 2015" and enter your SET ID and password

Click on the "SAVE" button after filling the form

Candidate will have to pay Rs. 2000/- for registration of both, BBA-IT and BCA to SICSR separately and Rs. 1000-/ for single programme

Select "Payment" and choose your mode of payment i.e. Credit card, Net Banking or Demand draft pay in slip

If you are paying the registration fees by DD, enter DD details and take a print out of the "Payment Advice"

Send your Demand Draft along with the Payment Advice to the institute on or before 28th May, 2014.

Click on the "Preview form" and take print of application form

A system generated email will be sent on your email address for confirmation of registration
