SUIIT is functioning successfully since year 2010 as an Autonomous Constituent Unit of the
Sambalpur University in the line of IIITs to impart training and to have quality research programme
relating to Information Technology and allied subjects. The training at the level of Undergraduates
and Post-Graduates courses in technical subjects has been envisioned to be imparted holistically.The SUIIT is going invites candidates to provide admission in various courses offered in institute for its upcoming batch in 2015-16. Sambalpur University Institute Of Information Technology ( SUIIT ) Competitive Entrance Examination Selection Procedure – 2015 :

Selection Procedure for SUIIT Competitive Entrance Examination - 2015: SUIIT has conducted Competitive Entrance Examination for the admission of B.Tech / M.Tech / MCA / MSC / Lateral entry Courses during the academic year 2015-16.

For B. Tech ( CSE, ECE and EEE )

On JEE Main / OJEE Result / Score: Eligible candidates should directly apply to SUIIT with the valid result/score in prescribed application form. Separate merit list will be prepared based on the results/score of JEE Main / OJEE. SUIIT does not participate in JEE / OJEE Counseling and willing candidates are required to apply directly.

Non JEE Main / OJEE: Eligible candidates should directly apply to SUIIT. Selection will be done on the basis of career assessment and Personal interview in the ratio of 30 : 20 respectively. Absence of a candidate in Personal Interview shall liable to disqualify him/ her for admission.

For Lateral Entry To B. Tech Programmes

On OJEE 2015 Rank: Eligible students can directly apply to SUIIT with the valid Score Card. Merit lists will be prepared based on the OJEE ranks.

For M. Sc. Bioinformatics / M. Sc. Electronics / M. Sc. Computer Science / MCA

The selection will be done on the basis of written, career and viva with 50%, 30% and 20% weight age respectively.

Absence of a candidate in either written or viva examinations or both shall liable to disqualify him / her for admission

Preference will be given to candidates with valid GATE score.

Award of scholarship to the GATE qualified students are subject to receipt of the scholarship from UGC / Govt. of India.
