Admissions into all PG courses and Research programs are administered by the Directorate of Admissions ( DOA ). It conducts Common Entrance Tests ( SVUCET ) every year for admission into MA, MBE, M.Com, M.Ed, MFM, LLM, MLISc, M.Sc and MS Courses offered by the Constituent and Affiliated Colleges of Sri Venkateswara University. Sri Venkateswara University common Entrance test ( SVUCET ) PG Entrance Examination Reservation of Seats – 2015 :

For MA, MBE, M.Com, M.Ed, MFM, LLM, MLISc, M.Sc and MS Courses

Among the seats sanctioned in each course, 85% of the seats are to local ( L ) candidates, while 15% are reserved to local and non-local candidates. Among 15 % unreserved seats both local and non local candidates can compete and admission will be based on merit.

The 85% reserved seats are filled by local candidates belonging to OC ( Open Category ) , SC (15%),

ST (6%),

BC-A (7%),

BC-B (10%),

BC-C (1%),

BC- D (7%),

BC-E (4%),

ECA

Extracurricular activities NCC / NSS / Sports / Cultural Activities (4%), PH ( Physically challenged ) (3%) and CAP ( Children of armed personnel ) (2%).

Only in S.V. University campus Colleges one supernumerary seat is given for proficiency in Games and Sports in each course.

A vacancy under SC goes to ST and vice-versa. If enough SC&ST candidates are not available, the left-over seats will go to OC.

A vacancy under BC group goes to any other BC group ( BC-A to BC-B, BC-B to BC-D ) on the basis of in SVUCET-2014 rank. If enough BC candidates are not available, the left-over seats will go to OC.

For admission into Extracurricular Activities ( ECA) seats, participation during the period of study of the qualifying examination alone is considered.

Expert committees nominated by the University will certify the suitability and priority of the candidates under special categories ( ECA / PH / CAP ).

Reservation for women: One third of the seats are reserved for women candidates in each category ( i.e., OC, SC, ST, BC, ECA, PH and L/NL ).

This rule is not applied if women candidates selected on merit in a category form one third or more of the seats therein. If there are no suitable women candidates in a category, the seats will be filled with men candidates of the same category.

Absence of adequate number of women candidates in a category cannot be compensated by giving more seats for women in another category.

BC-C ( 1% ) Seats

BC-C allotment will be done taking into consideration of the total seats available in each subject and college by adopting rotation system.

SV University colleges ( To be paid at the time of admission. No need to pay in second year ) Biotechnology – Rs.1,50,000; Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, Food Technology – Rs.1,00,000; Chemistry ( Organic / Analytical ), Computer Science, Electronics, Microbiology, Industrial Microbiology, Space Technology and MSc. Statistics with Applications, M.Com ( F.M ), M.Ed. –Rs.50,000; Social Work – Rs.20,000

Payment Seats

SV University colleges ( Fee to be paid at the time of admission.

No need to pay in second year ):

Arts courses – Rs.20,000/-,

M.Com., MLISc, M.Sc. Mathematics, Applied Mathematics-Rs.30000/-, M.Ed. and Science courses – Rs.50,000/-.

30% of seats in all Regular Courses except those indicated below:
