Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) is a state-level examination, conducted by Anna University for the admission to post-graduation programmes like M.Tech, MBA, MCA and M.Arch in various colleges/institutes of Tamil Nadu. All the interested candidates must check their eligibility before applying online for TANCET 2019. Candidates belonging to other states can also apply for TANCET 2019 but the eligibility criteria for that will be decided by the exam conducting authorities. Also, the eligibility criteria vary for each programme. To get admission through TANCET 2019, candidates have to appear for a written test which will be conducted in offline mode at various centres across Tamil Nadu.

These criteria given below are the minimum requirement for every candidate, which they should be able to fulfill in order to sit for the exam.

The candidates appearing in Final Year of the examination are also eligible for application.
The aspirants belonging to other states are also eligible for application but the respective authorities will determine the eligibility.

Course	Eligibility Criteria
M.E. / M. Tech. / M. Arch. / M. Plan.	Qualifying Examination: Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent in any disciplines. Minimum Marks: At least 50% aggregate marks (45% marks for Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes). Note: The aspiring candidates must be in possession of valid GATE Score Card.
M.B.A.	Qualifying Examination: Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 Years. Minimum Marks: At least 50% aggregate marks (45% marks for reserved category candidates).
M.C.A.	Qualifying Examination: Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 Years with Mathematics at 10 + 2 or Graduation Level. Minimum Marks: At least 50% aggregate marks (45% marks for reserved category candidates).
M.C.A. (Lateral Entry)	Qualifying Examination: Bachelor’s Degree in B. Sc. (Computer Science / Information Technology), B.C.A. with Mathematics at 10 + 2 or Graduation Level. Minimum Marks: At least 50% aggregate marks (45% marks for Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes).
