BITS Mersa 2021 PG Selection Procedure

Birla Institute of Technology ( BIT Mesra ) PG Entrance Examination Selection Procedure-2015 :

For M.E., M.Pharm, M.Tech, Master of Urban Planning & M.Sc. Programmes :

The Institute offers the following postgraduate programmes at Mesra and its Off Campuses located in India at Allahabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lalpur( Ranchi City ), Noida and Patna. Candidates admitted in M.E. / M.Tech / MUP with valid GATE 2014 or GATE 2015 and M.Pharm with valid GPAT 2014 or GPAT 2015 score will be considered.

Non-GATE candidates will be on the basis of written test, previous academic record and personal interviews conducted by concerned Off Campuses.

Selection Procedures for the M.E., M.Tech, and MUP programmes:

GATE qualified candidates:

Provisional selections to the M.E., M.Tech and MUP programmes will be on the basis of scores obtained in GATE 2014 / GATE 2015, previous academic record and personal interviews / counselling, provided that the candidates fulfill the eligibility criteria.

Non-GATE candidates:

Provisional selections of Non-GATE candidates will be on the basis of written test, previous academic record and personal interviews / counselling, provided that the candidates fulfill the eligibility criteria. However, their admission will be considered only after applicants who have qualified in GATE 2014 / GATE 2015 have been considered and admitted, subject to the availability of seats. There will be no scholarships for these candidates. Syllabus of the test will be same as for GATE.

Selection Procedures for the M.Pharm programmes:

GPAT Qualified candidates:

Provisional selections to the M.Pharm programme in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacognosy, Pharmacology, Clinical Research and Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs will be on the basis of scores obtained in GPAT 2014 / GPAT 2015, and previous academic record and personal interviews / counselling, provided that the candidates fulfill the eligibility criteria.

Non-GPAT candidates:

Provisional selections of Non-GPAT candidates will be on the basis of written test, previous academic record and personal interviews / counselling, provided that the candidates fulfill the eligibility criteria. However, their admission will be considered only after applicants who have qualified in GPAT 2014 / GPAT 2015 have been considered and admitted, subject to the availability of seats. There will be no scholarships for these candidates. Syllabus of the test will be same as for GPAT.

Selection Procedures for the M.Sc. programmes:

Provisional selections to the M.Sc. programmes will be on the basis of previous academic record and counselling for shortlisted candidates at Mesra, Kolkata and Lalpur provided that the candidates fulfill the eligibility criteria mentioned. There will be no scholarships for students of these programmes.

Note :

1. Admission of Non-GATE / Non-GPAT candidates will be considered only after applicants who have qualified in GATE 2014 or GATE 2015 / GPAT 2014 or GPAT 2015 have been considered and admitted, subject to the availability of seats
2. Candidates admitted in M.E. / M.Tech / MUP with valid GATE 2014 or GATE 2015 and M.Pharm with valid GPAT 2014 or GPAT 2015 score will be considered to receive scholarships only if approved and amount released by the funding agency.
