Fakir Mohan University, Vyasa Vihar, Balasore Orissa was established by the Govt. of Orissa under Section 32 of the Orissa University Act, 1989(Act 5 of 1989)and it was notified vide the Government’s Notification No. 973 dated 3rd July, 1999. The University has also been duly recognized by the UGC Under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act vide the Notification No. F–9–1/2000 (CPP–I) dated 11 Feb, 2000

Fakir Mohan University Engineering Entrance Examination PG Entrance Examination Selection Procedure – 2014

The Fakir Mohan University M .Tech Examination selection Procedure is based on Career Marks and performance of entrance test.

Admission cannot be claimed as a matter of right.

Selection for admission into different courses shall be made on the basis of career marks and performance in the entrance test. For admission in to all the courses, the weight age for career and entrance test shall be 50% each. Absence of a candidate in the entrance test shall disqualify him / her for admission.

The entrance written test will cover the pass syllabus of the respective subject in the qualifying examination of Fakir Mohan University along with general questions.

c) While calculating career mark, Weightage will be given to candidates having secured Honours in the concerned subject only. Honours in other subjects shall be put at par with pass courses.

d) Formula for calculating career marks:

Formula for calculating career marks for admission in to M. Tech programmes ( Self Financing ):

For the candidates having B.E / B. Tech degree, the marks awarded up to +2 level shall be as it is and for B.E / B.Tech shall be as follows:

( Marks secured / Maximum Marks ) X 35

Entrance Examination Schedule:

For M. Tech. Biotechnology Entrance Examination will held on: 16.10.2014 ( 11 AM – 12 Noon )

Results will published on: 18.10.2014– 1.00 PM

Date of Dispatch of Intimation Letters:

18.10.2014– 3.00 PM( For M. Phil. and M. Tech. programmes )

Self Financing Master Degree Courses:

First Selection / Merit List candidates: 31.07.2014

Reporting for Waitlisted Candidates: 01.08.2014
