Indian Institute of Science ( IISc ), Banglore Engineering Entrance Examination

Over the 105 years since its establishment, Indian Institute of Science ( IISc ) has become the premier institute for advanced scientific and technological research and education in India. The Institute offers four programmes based on course work. This includes Master of Engineering ( ME ), Master of Technology ( M Tech ). The Institute admits about 400 students every year for its course programmes. The number includes about 50 sponsored candidates from the Defense Services, Defense Research and Development Organization, Indian Space Research Organization, BARC, NAL, CPRI, KSRTC, BMTC, PWD and BDA, faculty members from engineering colleges under the Quality Improvement Programmes. Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for the academic year-2015.

For M.E / M. Tech:

Students are awarded scholarships from the date of their joining or August 1st (whichever is later). The value of the scholarship per month for students enrolled in M.E / M.Tech of the institute is given below.

ME / M Tech: Rs.8000 per month

All the students who join the Institute ( except for M.Mgt programme ) are eligible for IISc scholarships / Fellowships from CSIR/UGC/DBT/ICMR/MHRD/AICTE/NBHM as the case may be.

Scholarships from GE/ INFOSYS/ IBM/ HP/ TATA/ PHILIPS/ BELL LAB/ MICROSOFT are also available for deserving students.
