National Aptitude Test in Architecture ( NATA ) Entrance Examination

The Council of Architecture conducts the National Aptitude Test in Architecture for admission to 5 years B.Arch. Degree Programme. CoA has been organising the NATA exam since 2006, keeping the Minimum Standards of Architectural Education Regulations, 1983, of the Gazette of India. Students appearing in NATA 2019 need not attempt multiple aptitude tests to get into private and government-aided institutes or universities to pursue Bachelor of Architecture. From this year onwards, the national-level architecture exam will be held in two parts – Part A and Part B.

NATA Entrance Examination 2021 Results

NATA 2019 Results:

The results are expected to be released in June 2019. It can be accessed from NATA’s official website. It will be available in the following three formats:

1.     Aggregate Marks secured as well as scores of each individual section

2.     Merit listing – Based on scores obtained and tie-breaking rules

3.     Percentile score - Based on merit listing

Candidates can check below the steps involved in accessing NATA Result are:

  • Visit the official website of NATA
  • Select “Download scorecard for NATA 2019”
  • Login with the UID and Password
  • Enter the captcha provided
  • View, download and print the scorecard

A consolidated merit list of NATA candidates will be published by Council of Architecture. In merit listing, all candidates will get unique rank. As such, if more than one candidate gets identical aggregate, tie-breaking conditions would be applied in the following order:

1.     Higher score in Mathematics section

2.     Less number of wrong-answers in Mathematics section.

3.     Higher score in problem-solving questions of General Aptitude section.

4.     Less number of wrong-answers in General Aptitude section.

5.     Earlier date of birth

Qualifying marks for NATA would be based on:

  • At least 25% marks to be secured in MCQ section (30 out of 120)
  • At least 25% marks to be secured in Drawing section (20 out of 80)
  • Overall qualifying aggregate marks (out of 200) would be based on post-exam statistics and at the discretion of the Council of Architecture.
