Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education –Noorul Islam University - comprising of Noorul Islam College of Engineering as its constituent teaching unit , has been declared as a Deemed-to-be-University by Ministry of Human Resource Development ( Department of Higher Education ), Government of India under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956

The university campus at Kumaracoil , Thuckalay in kanyakumari District of Tamilnadu ,is in the serene and lush green base of Velimalai, a spectacular part of Western Ghat Hills near the historically famous Padmanabhapuram Palace.

Noorul Islam University has announced admission to various UG and PG engineering courses for the year 2015. Admissions for UG engineering courses are based on the AIEEE score or score in the examination conducted at All India Level by a competent Authority. For PG engineering courses admissions are based on examination conducted at All India Level by a competent Authority or GATE / GRE score

Noorul Islam University ( NIU ) Engineering Entrance exam Admission procedure-2015

For B.E. / B.Tech. First Year Admission:

The Candidate shall satisfy the conditions regarding the basic Qualifications and qualifying marks as prescribed by AICTE.

Notwithstanding the above qualifying examination, the Candidate shall write an entrance examination designed to test the proficiency of the Candidate in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry at the standards prescribed for the plus two Academic stream of the Tamilnadu Board of Higher Secondary Education.

It is not necessary to write the entrance examination if the Candidate has AIEEE score or score in the examination conducted at All India Level by a competent Authority.

The Candidate shall satisfy the conditions regarding number of attempts and mode of admission, age and physical fitness as prescribed by the competent statutory authority.

For B.E. / B.Tech. Second ( Lateral ) Year Admission:

The Candidate shall satisfy the conditions regarding the basic Qualifications and qualifying marks as prescribed by AICTE.

Notwithstanding the above qualifying examination the Candidate shall write an entrance examination designed to test the proficiency of the Candidate at diploma level.

The Candidate shall satisfy the conditions regarding number of attempts and mode of admission, age and physical fitness as prescribed by the statutory authority.

For M.E / M.Tech:

The Candidate shall satisfy the conditions regarding the basic Qualifications and qualifying marks as prescribed by AICTE.

Notwithstanding the above qualifying examination, the Candidate might have passed, he / she shall write an entrance examination designed to test the proficiency of the Candidate in the relevant branch of the UG Degree.

It is not necessary to write the entrance examination if the Candidate has GATE / GRE score or score in the examination conducted at All India Level by the constituent statutory authority.

Admission to the M.E. / M.Tech programs by the University shall be on the basis of marks in the qualifying examination and the performance of the perspective Candidate in the Entrance Test.

The Candidate shall satisfy the conditions regarding qualifying marks, number of attempts, and mode of admission, age and physical fitness as prescribed by the competent statutory authority.
