The Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas ( MOP&NG ), Government of India set up The Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology ( RGIPT ) at Jais, Dist. Rae Bareli, Uttar Pradesh through an Act of Parliament (“Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology Act 2007"). RGIPT has been accorded the eminence of being an “ Institute of National Importance” along the lines of the Indian Institutes of Technology ( IIT ). The Institute is empowered to award degrees in its own right. RGIPT is co-promoted as an energy domain specific institute by six leading Oil Public Sector Units ( ONGC, IOCL, OIL, GAIL, BPCL and HPCL ) in association with the Oil Industry Development Board ( OIDB ) [ This however does not bind them to preferentially recruit from RGIPT ]. The Institute is associating with leading International Universities / Institutions specializing in the domain of Petroleum Technology.

Payment of the application fee can be made either through demand draft ( in favor of "Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology" payable at Rae Bareli ) or through online transfer.

Admission forms can be filled up Online.

The print out of online application duly signed along with demand draft / details of online payment and necessary enclosures should reach at the following address by the last date as specified in the “Important dates”. Please mark the envelope “Application form for B. Tech. Programme”.

Incomplete, incorrect, or delayed applications are liable to be rejected. All admission related information will be put-up on the website. Please, keep on visiting the website regularly for newer updates.

Enclosures:

( Kindly send only the attested photocopies of all the enclosures.)

Demand Draft of the application fee ( Write name and JEE-Advanced Registration number ) on the backside of the demand draft ). Not applicable if the payment has been made online.

Admit card of IIT-JEE ( Advanced ) 2014.

Class 10th and 12th certificates and mark sheets.

Valid caste certificates as per the central government list for OBC / SC / ST category.

In respect of OBC category, attach a Non-Creamy Layer Certificate and a self declaration ( To be signed by candidate ) form.

Valid certificates for physically handicapped category.

One passport size latest photograph and one stamp size color photo stapled on the top of the application form.
