The Sikkim Manipal University was established in 1995. It is the first government-private initiative in the region. SMU is recognized by the University Grants Commission and approved by the Government of India. It is the first ever Public Private Partnership ( PPP ) in the country for higher Education and Health Care services. Various institutions are running under Sikkim Manipal University. Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology is offering various UG and PG Engineering / MBA / MCA programmes. Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology has announced Admission to the various UG and PG Engineering / MBA / MCA programmes including engineering lateral entry. Admissions for the UG Engineering are based on the JEE ( Main ) All India Score or All India Examination conducted by Manipal University or SMIT offline test conducted by Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology. Admissions for the PG Engineering courses are based on the GATE / MU-OET / Entrance Test by SMU at Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology ( SMIT ). For B. Tech course

Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology has announced Admission to the various UG Engineering courses including lateral entry.

Admissions are based on the JEE ( Main ) All India Score or All India Examination conducted by Manipal University ( MU-OET ) or SMIT offline test conducted by Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology

Candidates having SMIT offline / JEE ( Main ) score Test rank are requested to attend the counseling for admission at SMIT, Sikkim as per the below mentioned schedule.

Class X mark sheet

Class XII mark sheet

Transfer Certificate from School

Migration Certificate from Board

Character Certificate from School

Demand Draft of Rupees ( Please see the Prospectus ) ( Lump Sum annual fee including hostel and mess charges ) drawn in favor of Sikkim Manipal University payable at Gangtok.

Payment may also be made on installment basis. In case of installment - candidate has to submit the DD of Rs. 167450 ( 1st installment ) on the day of the counseling and 2nd installment will be Rs. 136450 ( Including Hostel & Mess utility )
