Engineering | SMIT | PG Eligibility Criteria

The Sikkim Manipal University was established in 1995. It is the first government-private initiative in the region. SMU is recognized by the University Grants Commission and approved by the Government of India. It is the first ever Public Private Partnership ( PPP ) in the country for higher Education and Health Care services. Various institutions are running under Sikkim Manipal University. Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology is offering various UG and PG Engineering / MBA / MCA programmes. Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology has announced Admission to the various UG and PG Engineering / MBA / MCA programmes including engineering lateral entry. Admissions for the UG Engineering are based on the JEE ( Main ) All India Score or All India Examination conducted by Manipal University or SMIT offline test conducted by Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology. Admissions for the PG Engineering courses are based on the GATE / MU-OET / Entrance Test by SMU at Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology ( SMIT ). Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology ( SMIT ) PG Engineering Entrance Exam Eligibility Criteria -2015

Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology has announced Admission to the various PG Engineering courses. Admissions for the PG Engineering courses are based on the GATE / MU-OET / Entrance Test by SMU at Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology ( SMIT ).

For Power Electronics:

M.Tech in Power Electronics: 18 Seats

Bachelor Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Electronics & Communication / Telecommunication / Instrumentation Engineering, as applicable, with a minimum of 55% ( 50% for SC / ST / OBC ) marks.

For Computer Science and Engineering:

M.Tech ( Computer Science and Engineering ): 18 Seats

Bachelor Degree in any branch of Engineering / M.Sc in Electronics / Computer Science / Information

Technology / Physics / Mathematics / Statistics or MCA, with a minimum of 55% ( 50% marks for SC / ST / OBC) marks or equivalent CGPA

For Digital Electronics & Communication Engineering:

Bachelor Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Electronics & Communication / Telecommunication / Instrumentation Engineering, as applicable, with a minimum of 55% ( 50% marks for SC / ST / OBC ) marks or equivalent CGPA

For Information Technology / Material Science & Nanotechnology / Process Control and Instrumentation / Production Engineering / Structural Engineering / VLSI Design & Embedded Systems:

BE / B.Tech or equivalent in appropriate branch with 55% marks or equivalent
