Engineering | TUEE | Eligibility Criteria

Tezpur University has released the admission form for TUEE 2019 on February 27, 2019. Tezpur University will conduct Tezpur University Entrance Exam for the Integrated programmes along with Masters programme and PhD programmes. To apply for the different programmes offered candidates need to fill and submit the application form along with the application fee online. The application forms are available online for the candidates to fill and submit till April 30, 2019. The admit card for the entrance exam will be available online to download from the fourth week of April 2019. TUEE 2019 will be conducted in the offline mode for a duration of 2 hours in two sessions. The admissions for Tezpur University will be conducted based on the merit secured by candidates in the entrance examination. The Counselling procedure will commence by the last week of July 2019. Candidates must make sure to carry along with them all the documents required for the counselling procedure. Candidates who are going to apply for the different programmes must check the eligibility criteria prescribes for each of the programmes. The table given here states the eligibility for each of the courses along with the intake.

M. A. in Cultural Studies	46	Candidates must complete Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with at least second class marks in Major subject. Candidates having no major / honours, must have a minimum of 45 percent marks
M.A. in English	50	Candidates must complete Bachelor’s degree with minimum 45 percent marks with a major/honours in English. Candidates without a major/honours must have minimum 50 percent marks aggregate and also in 50 percent aggregate in English
M. A. in in Linguistics and Language Technology	20	Candidates must have B. A. with honours in Linguistics/ English or any allied subject with a minimum of 45 percent marks OR B.A. with a minimum of 50 percent aggregate marks
M. A. in in Linguistics and Endangered Languages	20	Candidates must have Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with minimum 45 percent marks in Major or 50 percent marks without Major.
M. A. in Hindi	25	Candidates must complete Bachelor’s Degree with Major/ Honours in Hindi from a recognized University OR Bachelor’s degree with Hindi as an elective subject having minimum 50 percent of aggregate.
M. A. in Social Work	15	Candidates must complete graduation in any discipline with 45 percent marks in Major
M. A. in Sociology	30	Candidates should complete Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 45 percent marks in Sociology major/honours or in any subject offered as major/honours. Candidates who do not have a major/honours must have 50% marks in aggregate.
M. Sc. in Chemistry	20	Candidates must complete their Bachelor’s degree with major/ honours in Chemistry subject with a minimum of 45 percent marks and should have Physics and Mathematics as subsidiary subjects.
M. Sc. in Environmental Science	30	Candidates must complete their B.Sc. in Physical/Biological/ Earth and Environmental Sciences as major/ honours with minimum of 50 percent marks. Candidates who do not have a major/honours must have minimum 55 percent marks aggregate. Or, B.Sc. (Agri.) with at minimum 6.0 CGPA in 10 point scale or equivalent. Or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering /Medicine with 55 percent marks or equivalent grade points.
M. Sc. in Mathematics	42	Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 45 percent marks major/honours, either in Mathematics or Statistics. Candidates who have completed major/honours in Statistics should also have Mathematics as subsidiary course with a minimum of 50 percent marks. Candidates not having major/honours must have 50 percent marks in aggregate and a 50 percent aggregate in mathematics
M. Sc. in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology*	30	Bachelor’s degree in Physical, Biological, Agricultural, Veterinary, Fishery Sciences, Pharmacy, Engineering/ Technology, four years B.S. programme (Physician Assistant course) or Medicine, MBBS or BDS with a minimum 55% marks in major/honours or aggregate. Those who have passed the qualifying examination before 2 years from the date of announcement of admission are not eligible.
M. Sc. in Physics	30	Candidates must have completed B.Sc. with minimum of 50 percent marks in major/honours in Physics having Mathematics as one of the subsidiary subjects. Candidate who do not have major/honours must have 55 percent marks in aggregate and in Physics
M. Com	06	B. Com. with minimum of 50% marks in major/honours. Mathematics at degree level is desirable.

*10 seats are reserved for permanent residents of any of the North-East-States (filled up through the Tezpur University Entrance Examinations 2019) and 20 seats are filled up through “All India Combined Entrance Test” conducted by DBT, Government of India from time to time)
