Fashion Techonology | NIFT | Application Form

Set up in 1986, NIFT is the pioneering institute of fashion education in the country and has been in the vanguard of providing the professional human resource to the textile and apparel industry. It was made a statutory institute in 2006 by an Act of the Indian Parliament with the President of India as ‘Visitor’ and has full-fledged campuses all across the country. Over the years NIFT has also been working as a knowledge service provider to the Union and State governments in the area of design development and positioning of handlooms and handicrafts.

Design programmes on the basis of which aspirants can secure admission at NIFT are – Bachelor of Design (BDes), Bachelor of Fashion Technology (BFTech), Master of Design (MDes), Master of Fashion Management (MFM) and Master of Fashion Technology (MFTech).

Candidate needs to fill their application form for NIFT exam online on the official website of the national level design entrance exam. Candidates can follow the below mentioned steps to fill the application form for NIFT Entrance Exam 2019:

Step 1: Create Login ID In order to successfully register for NIFT entrance exam, aspirants need to visit the official website of the design school and create a login ID. Details that candidates need to provide to create their NIFT login ID are as mentioned below:

Category
Email ID
Programme applied for admission

Once all these details are submitted a window opens on the screen which states that an acknowledgement has been sent at the email address mentioned in the application form for NIFT admission by the aspirant. Further, candidates need to login on the official website using the email ID and date of birth mentioned by them while creating the login ID. Once these details are provided, NIFT login ID is created. Also, candidates need to note that details provided by them in their login ID cannot be modified at a later stage. Thus, they need to fill this information very carefully.

Step 2: Fill NIFT 2019 Application Form After creating the login ID, candidates need to fill the below mentioned details in the NIFT application form:

Choice of test centre
Nationality
Mother’s name
State Domicile
Father’s name
Address
Gender
Qualification

Step 3: Upload Photograph & Signature Further, candidates need to upload their photograph as well as a signature with their NIFT entrance exam application form. Both these files need to be uploaded in jpg/jpeg format and should be less than 50 KB in size.

Step 4: Pay NIFT Admissions Application Fee Next, aspirants need to pay the application fee for NIFT entrance exam which they can pay online (by means of Credit Card/Debit Card/Net banking) or by Demand Draft (DD).

Aspirants who opt to pay NIFT application fee through DD need to make sure that the NIFT Demand Draft is drawn in favour of “NIFT HO” and is payable at New Delhi. The DD for NIFT application form needs to include details such as the candidate’s name, date, fee amount and signature of the issuing authority. Further, candidates applying through DD need to send the printout of their duly filled NIFT application form along with the Demand Draft at the below mentioned address: Project Manager

Step 5: Take print of NIFT application form Once all the above mentioned steps are complete, aspirants need to submit their NIFT entrance exam application form. Thereafter, candidates need to take a clear print of the NIFT application form along with proof of payment and keep it secure with themselves.
