Army Institute of Law ( AIL ) Entrance Examination

Army Institute of Law ( AIL ) was established in July 1999 under the aegis of Army Welfare Education Society ( AWES ). Its interim campus at Patiala was inaugurated by Lt. Gen. H B Kala, PVSM, AVSM, SC, the then GOC-in-C HQ Western Command, on 15 July 1999. It shifted to its permanent location at Sector-68, Mohali on 21 July 2003. AIL's Mohali campus was inaugurated by HE Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, President of India, on 01 Dec 2003. The Institute runs B.A.,LL.B. 5-year degree course in law, primarily for the wards of servicemen and ex-servicemen of Army. 20 percent of the total number of seats is available to wards of civilians. Out of this, 15 percent are reserved for residents of Punjab and 5 percent for that resident in the rest of India. The Institute is affiliated to Punjabi University, Patiala and approved by the Bar Council of India.

Army Institute of Law ( AIL ), Mohali affiliated to Punjabi University, Patiala  will be conducting the entrance exam for those candidates who wish to take admission in B.A. LLB 5 Year Course in the university for the academic session 2015-16. Application Procedure For AIL LET-2015:

Apply Online :

Candidates should apply online in the AIL website www.ail.ac.in for the Army institute of Law ( AIL ) B.A. LL.B. Law Entrance Examination-2015. Last date of submission of Application-Cum-Admission Form for all categories is 11 May 2015.

Application Fee :

The application fee for Army institute of Law ( AIL ) B.A. LL.B. Law Entrance Exam is Rs.1250/. Submission of Application-Cum-Admission Form with late fees of 500/- for all categories is 15 May 2015

Payment Mode :

  1. The application fee should be deposited in the form of Bank Pay-in-Slip will be generated during online registration. Candidates should go to any branch of State Bank of Patiala and deposit fees of Rs. 1250/- to the AIL account which is mentioned on the Bank Pay-in-Slip.
  2. After depositing your fee at the bank please check that journal number and branch code are clearly written on the bank slip. Online form step - II  cannot be completed without journal number and branch code.

Steps For Filling Online Application :

The Online Application-cum-Admission Form comprises of two steps: -

Step I

  1. Go to AIL website www.ail.ac.in
  2. Click on the link Admission 2015-16. Now, Online Registration Step-I will appear.
  3. Fill the basic information of the candidate ( i.e. Category, Name of the Candidate, Date of Birth, Password, Father's Name, E-Mail ID & Mobile No, etc.).
  4. The Registration No. & Password will be automatically forwarded to the e-mail ID provided by the candidate. The same is required before filling online form Step II.
  5. After submitting the above-mentioned information, a Bank Pay-in-Slip will be generated. The unique AIL Registration No. will also be mentioned on the Bank Pay-in-Slip.
  6. Now go to any branch of State Bank of Patiala and deposit fees of Rs. 1250/- to the AIL account which is mentioned on the Bank Pay-in-Slip.
  7. After depositing your fee at the bank please check that journal number and branch code are clearly written on the bank slip. Online form step - II cannot be completed without journal number and branch code.

Step – II

Again go to AIL website www.ail.ac.in and click on the link Admission 2015-16.

Now enter the AIL Registration No. & Password and Click on Proceed/Next. Online Registration STEP-II will appear. Now fill-up the following details:

  1. AIL Registration Number ( Generated after filling Form Step I )
  2. Password ( which you enter in Step I of admission form )

Uploading Documents :

Before applying online, scanned / soft copy of the followings are required to  be ready for filling the online form Step – II

  1.  Passport size photograph : Size less than 120Kb ),
  2. Signature : Size less than 100Kb
  3. 10th DMC : Size less than 1.5 Mb
  4. Bank receipt : Size less than 1.5 Mb
  5. Army category certificate ( Incase army category student ) : Size less than 1.5 Mb

Note:

*Counseling fee of Guru Nanak Dev University will be collected during counseling (if any).

*Mere deposit of fee does not entitle any candidate for admission. It will be subject to fulfillment of other conditions also.

Note :

Your application form will not be considered complete till you see the following message on your screen "YOUR FORM HAS BEEN SUCCESSFULLY SUBMITTED".
