The University of Allahabad, informally known also as Allahabad University is a public central university located in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, India. Established on September 23, 1887, it is the fourth oldest University in India. Its origins lie in the Muir Central College, named after Lt. Governor of North-Western Provinces, Sir William Muir in 1876, who suggested the idea of a Central University at Allahabad, which later evolved to the present university.

Hard copy of the application form is to be submitted along with crossed demand draft / challan by speed post / registered post to the

along with a crossed demand draft of Rs.1500/- ( Rs one thousand five hundred) for General / OBC candidates and of Rs.750/- ( Rs seven hundred fifty ) for SC / ST candidates drawn in favour of the Finance Officer,

Or along with the original copy of Challan, University Copy attached with the application form
