Selection Procedure for Birla Institute of Management Technology ( BIMTECH ) MBA Entrance Exam – 2015

Admission for 90 percent seats in all courses will be filled through merit category. Regular Admission is granted to those applicants who have fulfilled all the admission requirements and whose names appear in the regular merit list of successful applicants.

Candidates while submitting details of entrance test must give the validity of the score as per examining body, e.g. CAT 2014 / XAT 2015 / MAT 2014-15 / GMAT 2014-15 / CMAT 2014-15 will be valid for admissions to 2015-17 batch.

The candidate must have cleared the entrance test before GD / PI / write up for considering admission in the programme under merit category.

Details like CAT / XAT / MAT / GMAT / CMAT cut off, date of GD / PI / write up & venue can be seen at the announcement section of BIMTECH web site. Candidates are advised to visit BIMTECH website periodically to update themselves. No separate information shall be sent to them in this regard.

Final dates like declaration of selected candidates list, deposition of fee etc. can be seen at the announcement section of BIMTECH official web site. Candidates are advised to visit BIMTECH website periodically to update themselves.

Candidates can check their GD / PI / write up results on the official website after declaration of the final merit list.

Soft copy of the offer letter of the selected candidates will be put up on the official website. Hard copy of the offer letter shall be sent to selected candidates only.

 * Weightage for work experience will be given to a candidate only if he / she can produce a Work Experience Certificate from a company which has turnover of more than Rs. 50 crores p.a., is an MNC or is a listed Public Ltd. Company or is a Private Ltd.

Company or a registered NGO. The work experience should be in a managerial / supervisory role of more than 12 months with minimum salary package ( CTC ) of Rs. 1.8 Lac per annum and post qualifying examination.

** Regional weightage will be given to candidates from these states who produce the Domicile Certificate at the time of GD&PI ( February 2015 ) failing which the Regional weightage will not be given.

An additional weightage of 2% will be given to Girl Candidates in the final merit calculation in order to improve the gender diversity in the class.

Applying for admission does not ensure that the candidate will be called for GD&PI process or get admission. The discretion of the Admission Committee of the Institute will be final in all such matters.

Group Discussion and Personal Interview:

GD & PI call letters will be issued to shortlisted applicants in first week of February, 2015 ( tentative ).

GD & PI will be held in mid February, 2015 ( tentative ). GD & PI call letters will be sent ( in first week of February, 2015 tentatively ) at the e-mail id provided in the application. A hard copy of the call letter will also be sent on the address provided in the application form.

For all programmes GD & PI would be conducted at Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Cochin, Dehradun, Hyderabad, Indore, Ranchi, Trivandrum, Kolkata, Mumbai, Patna, Pune, and Greater Noida in the month of February 2015 ( tentative ).

The Institute reserves the right to cancel / add any of the outstation centres.
