PU MET 2021 Application Procedure

Application Procedure for the Panjab University, Chandigarh, Management Entrance Test ( MET ) MBA Entrance Examination  -  2015 :

Date of Availability of Prospectus and online Admission form for Admission to PU-MET-2015 on the website is on December 09, 2014

The candidates shall not be allowed to make any change in the Application Form by way of any addition / deletion / alteration / amendment / change of any other particular etc. under any circumstances once they submit it in the University office.

The result of the entrance test shall, ipso facto, not entitle a candidate to get admission in an institution/department/centre concerned where he / she intends to seek admission. It will be the responsibility of the candidate to make sure about his/her eligibility and fulfillment of such other conditions as may be prescribed for admission in the rules and regulations of university/institution concerned. Merely because a candidate is allowed to appear in the entrance test does not mean that he / she is eligible and his/ her appearance therein will not stop or debar the university / institution concerned from satisfying itself about his/her eligibility at any subsequent stage.

Notwithstanding anything contained in this prospectus, the eligibility conditions for admission to any particular course shall be governed by the respective rules/regulations as enshrined in the P.U. calendar, volumes i, ii and iii ( latest editions ) and / or the general guidelines for admissions / Handbook of Information-2015 issued by the university and / or decisions of the university senate / syndicate. In case of any conflict or inconsistency between the prospectus on one hand and the aforesaid Panjab University rules and regulations / guidelines / Handbook of Information-2015 / decisions of Senate/ Syndicate, on the other, the latter shall prevail.

The Entrance Test will be held tentatively at CHANDIGARH AND LUDHIANA CENTRES on the scheduled date i.e. March 14, 2015 ( Saturday ).

A candidate desirous of taking the Entrance Test should fill the application form online and further submit printed copy of the Application form under Registered Cover or personally at the following address on or before March 10, 2015 up to 4:00 p.m.

The Panjab University does not take any responsibility for any postal delay or delay in delivery by courier or by any other modes or for any loss in transit of the Application Form.

Incomplete application forms ( in any manner ), and those received online after February 25th, 2015 shall not be entertained under any circumstances, whatsoever. Roll Numbers to such applicants shall not be issued and no correspondence, whatsoever, in this connection shall be made or entertained by the university.

In no case the examination fee, once paid, shall be refunded.

There is one common form for all the management programmes at UIAMS. Thus, candidate needs to fill single form for all the courses at UIAMS.

Candidates are requested to kindly check their eligibility for individual courses at UIAMS before filling the application form.

Submission of Documents Along with Application form:

The candidates applying under a category other than the general category must attach attested copies of below mentioned documents/certificates along with the hardcopy of the form to be submitted in the office of the UIAMS, South Campus, Sector-25 ( Behind Alumni House ), Panjab University, Chandigarh:

Relevant certificate to claim a seat in Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe / Backward Class / Defense / Physically Handicapped / Riot Victim /  Freedom Fighter / Only ( Single ) Girl Child / Cancer-AIDS patient/wards of Kashmiri Displaced Persons.

Each applicant applying for admission in Sports Category shall along with the

Application Form submit self-attested photocopy of sports certificates. Affidavits ( as per the Annexure III and IV ) on stamp paper of Rs 5/- or Rs 10/- each duly attested by Notary / Magistrate Class I / II have to be submitted.

Foreign / NRI candidates not residing in India and thereby unable to avail of the above admission process will be required to submit scores of GMAT, Princeton ( USA ) which will be treated at par with the combined score of Written Test, ( MET ) Group Discussion and Personal Interview conducted by University Institute of Applied Management Sciences ( UIAMS ), Panjab University, Chandigarh.

The last date for submission of application forms by Foreign / NRI candidates not in India and applying for admission on the basis of GMAT score is February 09th, 2015. Last Date for Deposit of Fee in the Bank is February 16th, 2015. Last date for submission of fee details (journal no.; branch code and date of deposit given by Bank) and uploading of Photograph, signature with rest of the information on the website is February 25, 2015. Further, students have to submit the printed copy of the form submitted by March 10th, ( Tuesday ) up to 4.00 P.M. in the office of the University Institute of Applied Management Sciences ( UIAMS ), South Campus, Sector-25 ( Behind Alumni House ), Panjab University, Chandigarh.

• The candidates under reserved categories have to bring original certificates for verification at the time of Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Candidates under Foreign / NRI categories have to submit the NRI certificate required by the University at the time of admission.
• In case of gap of one or more sessions between passing the last examination and admission being sought now, a candidate will have to give an affidavit at the time of admission stating that he has not been involved in any offence as per the format given in Handbook of Information.
• The candidates, who have passed the qualifying examinations from an institution other than Panjab University, will be eligible only if such examination / degree is recognized as equivalent to corresponding exam / degree of the Panjab University.
