SNAP 2021 Exam Syllabus

The syllabus for SNAP 2018 is based on English, Mathematics, and Logic of higher secondary school level knowledge. It will be as decided by SIU for every section. Aspirants must make sure that they follow the right syllabus to prepare well for the test.

The section wise syllabus is given as follows:

General English
This section will assess the grasp an aspirant has on the English language. The test paper will comprise of questions based on a given passage. Candidates must comprehend the contents of the passage and answer these questions. An individual’s vocabulary, grammar, verbal ability and reasoning skills will also be tested in this section. The important topics for this section are:

• Grammar
• Vocabulary
• Active and Passive Voice
• Sentence Completion
• Correction of Sentences
• Jumbled Paragraphs
• Synonyms
• Antonyms
• Comprehension of passages
• Spot the error

Quantitative Ability
This section of the test evaluates the aspirant’s ability to solve numerical problems with accuracy and speed. It will include problems to evaluate how aspirants can work with numbers, do numerical calculations and understand various arithmetic questions. They must have a good understanding of basic mathematical concepts to fare well in this section. The important topics for this section are as follows:

• Numerical Calculations
• Arithmetic Problems- Percentage, Ratio, Work, Percentage, Average, etc.
• Modern Mathematics- Probability, Permutation and Combination, Logarithms.
• Algebra
• Geometry
• Trigonometry
• Common Graphs & Charts

Current Affairs
For this section, aspirants must be aware of the general events happening in the world for the past 2 years. They are advised to read newspapers daily. Questions from the following topics are asked:

• Organizations
• International Affairs
• History
• Corporate and business
• Finance and Economy
• Geography
• Sports
• Political events
• Technology

Logical Reasoning
This section will determine the student’s ability to think accurately and swiftly. Students can expect questions on diagrams, figures as also analogies in this section. Problem-solving and decision making skills will also be tested. Questions on the following topics will be asked:

• Sets based on arrangements and cubes
• Syllogisms
• Family Tree
• Verbal reasoning and Analogy
• Critical reasoning
• Output-Input based questions
• Problem solving and observation
