Goa University 2021 Eligibility Criteria

Goa University MCA Entrance Examination Eligibility Criteria–2015:

The University of Goa has published the notification for conducting the entrance exam for MCA Course for the academic session 2015-16. Eligible Candidates who are graduates from a recognized University may apply for MCA entrance exam-2015. Aspirants who are interested to apply for GOA University MCA Admission 2015 must fill GOA University Application Form. The Last Date for Submission of Applications Form for Entrance Test is 4^th June 2015. Written Entrance Test will be held on 9^th June 2015. The list of the selected candidates will be prepared based on Entrance Test conducted by the Department.

Eligibility Criteria:

Admission to the three year, six semester, full time course leading to the degree of “Master of Computer Applications” ( MCA ), is open to any Indian National satisfying all of the following conditions:

Educational Qualification:

Graduates in any stream including Commerce, Science, Arts, Engineering, Management and Professionals like CS, CA, ICWA, CMA, CAIIB and CFA, who have completed their graduation from Goa University or any other recognized University in India or abroad are eligible to apply for the course.

Aggregated Score:

1. Graduate in any discipline with at least 55% aggregate marks at the first degree examination ( 50% for candidates in reserved category - OBC, ST, SC, PH, FF ). Or
2. Minimum CPI must be 6.00 in the scale of 1 to 10 at the first degree examination ( minimum CPI must be 5.5 in the scale of 1 to 10 for candidates in reserved category –OBC, ST, SC, PH, FF ). Or
3. For any other method of declaration of the result, the equivalent percentage of the above cases will be decided by the university after the applications have been received. The decision of the university is final.

Studying Subject:

Candidate must have taken mathematics as one of the subjects at HSSCE ( 10+2 ) level or at a higher level  ( documentary proof is essential ).

Final Year Appearing Students:

1. Candidates who have appeared for a degree examination and are awaiting results are also eligible to apply.
2. In case such candidates are selected and their results are not available at the time of Admission, these candidates will be given provisional admission.
3. Such candidates shall have to furnish the proof of fulfilling the eligibility criteria, preferably at the time of Admission but not later than 30^th June 2015, failing which, their admission shall be cancelled and the seats made available to waiting list candidates.

Admission Procedure:

The admission to first year of MCA program for the year 2015-16 will be strictly based on The Ranking obtained in the ENTRANCE TEST conducted by the Department of Computer Science and Technology, Goa University.
