Medical | AP EAMCET Medical | Eligibility Criteria

Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) is conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada on behalf of APSCHE. This examination is the prerequisite for admission into various professional courses offered in University/ Private Colleges in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

AP EAMCET Medical 2021 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who wish to pursue MBBS / BDS programmes from any of government or private medical and dental colleges of Andhra Pradesh are advised to read the eligibility criteria before applying for the exam. The information related to AP EAMCET Medical 2018 eligibility criteria regarding age and qualification as required by examination authority is given below:

Nationality

Indian Nationals/Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) Card Holders/Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) are eligible to apply.

State Eligibility

Aspirants must belong to Andhra Pradesh state. They must fulfill local/non-local status requirement for admissions to Category ‘A’ seats based on the amendment of Telangana/Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions Order, 1974.

Age Criteria

B.Tech Programmes

Applicants must have completed 16 years of age as on December 31 of the year of admission.

B.Tech Dairy Technology, B.Tech Agricultural Engineering, B.Tech Food Science & Technology

Candidates must have completed 17 years of age as on December 31 of the year of admission.
The upper age limit of the applicants belonging to General category must be 22 years, while for SC/ST category candidates must be 25 years of age as on December 31 of the admission year.

Educational Background

Aspirants of AP EAMCET 2018 belonging to General category must have passed class XII examination securing minimum 45% aggregate marks, while reserved category candidates must have secured a minimum aggregate marks of 40% in class XII.
The candidates must have passed class XII with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Vocational Courses.
In case of Vocational Courses taken by candidates, then they must be in the fields of Engineering & Technology conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh/Telangana along with bridge course. (Or)
The candidates must be enrolled from academic year 2000 in the courses conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh/Telangana.
The candidates must have passed or appeared for the final year of diploma examination in Engineering conducted by the State Board of Technical Education & Training, Andhra Pradesh/Telangana.
