Medical | CMC Vellore | Eligibility Criteria

CMC (Christian Medical College), Vellore is a Christian minority, educational college established in the year of 1900. It offers admissions to students in various UG, PG courses, diploma and doctoral courses in medical field (MBBS, Nursing, B.Sc, M.Sc, etc). It organizes a series of entrance tests for admissions in different courses. Admission in these courses will be strictly done on the basis of entrance exam and interviews. But, from the year 2016, the admission to MBBS course is being done on the basis of NEET Score followed by an aptitude test set by CMC.

CMC Vellore 2021 Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates are advised to read the eligibility criteria of CMC Vellore MBBS 2017 before applying for the entrance exam. As per the information mentioned in the admission brochure, only those candidates will be considered for admission who will fulfil all the eligibility criteria are asked by the examination authority. The highlights of CMC Vellore MBBS eligibility criteria are given below:

Age: Candidates must be of 17 years of age.

Mandatory: Candidates had to appear in AIPMT/NEET 2017 Phase 1 or 2.

Education Qualification:

Intermediate examination, Pre-Degree Examination or Plus Two Examination of any recognised Indian University or State Board.
The Senior Higher School Certificate Examination (12 years) conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi.
The Indian School Certificate Examination (12 years) conducted by the Council for Indian School Examination.
Intermediate Examination (two year course) conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. Pre-University Examination (two year course) conducted by the Board of Pre-University Education, Government of Karnataka.
Candidates who have qualified overseas are also eligible to apply for the exam but they have to submit their eligibility certificate on the prescribed format issued by Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University Chennai.
Candidates should score minimum 60% marks in each of Physics, Chemistry, Biology (for general candidates) and 40% marks (for SC/ST candidates).
Candidates age must be 17 years as on 31st Dec 2017.
Improvement marks in 12th will not be considered.
