North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences( NEIGRIHMS ) Entrance Exam

NEIGRIHMS is an Autonomous Institute established by Government of India in 1987 under the Meghalaya Registration of Societies Act 1983. The then Prime Minister Late Rajiv Gandhi dedicated the Institute to the memory of Late Indira Gandhi, former Prime Minister for her commitment to the welfare and affection for the people of North Eastern Region.

It has now been designed as a Postgraduate Medical Institute in the lineage of AIIMS, New Delhi and PGIMER, Chandigarh. NEIGRIHMS has been the First and the only Postgraduate Medical Institute in the North Eastern Region and third in the country established by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.

North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute Of Health & Medical Sciences invites application for the admission of MBBS Course through Medical Entrance Examination. The course is recognized by Medical Council of India ( MCI ) and affiliated to the North Eastern Hill University ( NEHU ), Shillong. North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute Of Health And Medical Sciences ( NEIGRIHMS ) DM Cardiology course Entrance Examination Details - 2014

Admit Cards:

The admit Cards to the eligible candidates will be electronically generated and will be sent in their Email address as provided by them in their Application form on or before 18th July, 2014. Therefore, candidates are advised to write down a valid Email address in their application forms. Candidates shall have to take a print out of their Admit Cards and bring along to the examination Centre for appearing in the Entrance Examination. In case of any non receiving of Admit Cards, candidates may collect the Admit Card from the Examination cell on 22nd July, 2014 between 10.00 am to 5.00 pm.

Centre of Examination:

The entrance examination will be conducted at Shillong only and the centre of examination will be shown in their respective Admit cards.

Documents to Be Enclosed:

i ) No document ( copies of certificates, mark sheets etc., is required to be enclosed with the application form ) except in case of the candidates:

a ) From North Eastern States: Candidates applying for this category required to enclose a clearly visible Photostat copy of Domicile / Permanent residential Certificate valid for the year 2014 from the District Collector / District Commissioner / District Magistrate / Sub – Divisional Officer ( Civil ) or any State Government authorized official equivalent to the said ranks, proving his / her genuine domicile / permanent resident among one of the 8 ( eight ) North Eastern States of India including Sikkim attested by a Gazette Officer.

b )Who are Employed: A copy of signed undertaking along with the application form that they have informed their employer about the submission of the application to NEIGRIHMS.

ii )Candidates recommended for Clinical / Practical / Lab Based Test ( clause 9 above ) must submit attested copies of the required documents in support of their claims of educational qualifications, marks, date of birth, category, experience, domicile status, etc., before appearing in the department clinical / practical / lab based assessment by hand to the examination cell, NEIGRIHMS.

Note: if a candidate fails to submit attested copies of the requisite documents as above, his / her candidature will be cancelled and he / she will not be allowed to participate in subsequent of selection / admission process.
