Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) is a deemed university imparting professional education, research and training in various fields such as medical, dental and paramedical. The university has six constituent colleges and offers various under graduate, post graduate and diploma level programs.

The university offers admission to the following bachelor degree programmes through the faculty of medicine and faculty of dentistry: Bachelors of Medicine and Bachelors of Surgery (MBBS) Bachelors of Dental Science (BDS).

Only candidates with the relevant qualifying degree can register for the above mentioned programmes. Seats are not reserved for people belonging to different categories such as SC/ST/BC etc.

PIMS - AICET - UG 2021 Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility Criteria:

MBBS & BDS

Duration of the Programme: 4 years and 1 year of compulsory rotatory internship.

Eligibility:

Candidates should be of Indian origin and must be born on or before December 31, 1999.

Candidates should have passed the Higher Secondary Course (10+2)/Intermediate/ Pre-degree /Pre-professional/Pre-medical / first, second or third year of B.Sc. examination or any other examination recognized as equivalent there from a recognized board/university/college.

Candidate should have passed qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology (which shall include practical test in these subjects) and English individually. Candidate should have passed with minimum 50% of marks (40% for SC, ST, VJNT & OBC) in all the above subjects taken together and each subject individually.

Candidates who are appearing for qualifying examination in February/March 2018 are also eligible to appear for AICET-UG 2018. However, they must fulfill the eligibility conditions at the time of counselling.

Candidates qualified (10+2) under a foreign system in India, are required to obtain equivalence certificate from AIU (Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi) to apply for MBBS / BDS programme.

Note: Candidate has to undergo professional training for 1 year for admission under MBBS/BDS programme in case the course content is not as prescribed for 10+2 education structure of the National Committee.
