Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology ( SCTIMST ) metamorphosed into an Institute of National Importance with the status of a University in 1980 under the Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India by an Act of Parliament (Act 52 of 1980).

The joint culture of medicine and technology that the Institute pioneered more than three decades ago has come of age and gained unprecedented acceptance in India. Ph.D/MPH/DPH : Rs.1000/- (Rs.800/- for SC/ST candidates)

M.Phil : Rs.500/- (Rs.400/- for SC/ST candidates)

Diploma courses : Rs.300/- (Rs.240/- for SC/ST candidates)

Documents to be submitted along with the application form:

1. Copy of document to prove age

2. Caste certificate for SC/ST candidates issued by revenue authorities not below the rank of a Tahsildar.

3. â€•No Objection Certificate in case of employed

4. Copies of certificates to prove academic qualifications and achievements

5. Copies of attempt certificates of MBBS/MD/MS/DNB Examinations issued by University/National Board of Examinations, as applicable.

6. Copy of Registration Certificate: Medical/Nursing

7. Demand Draft for application fee

8. Candidate should furnish a certificate from the respective colleges to the effect that the Department/Course is recognized by MCI. (Applicable only for post doctoral courses) .
