The Sikkim Manipal University was established in 1995. It is the first government-private initiative in the region. SMU is recognized by the University Grants Commission and approved by the Government of India. Admissions are based on the UGET1 online entrance examination and merit list of entrance examination conducted by SMIMS. Sikkim Manipal Institute of Medical Sciences ( SMIMS ) Medical Entrance Examination Admission procedure-2015

Sikkim Manipal Institute of Medical Sciences has announced admission for various Medical courses. Admissions are based on the UGET1 online entrance examination and merit list of entrance examination conducted by SMIMS.

Admission will be based on the eligibility criteria. Eligible candidate can take direct admission with required documents & payment of fees.

Candidate can dispatch completed application form along with the copies of necessary documents to the Admission Officer at the following address.

However, the admission of the candidate will depend on the availability of seats at the time of enrollment. Candidates appearing in 10+2 or equivalent examinations are also eligible to apply.

For MBBS:

UGET1 conducted by SMU

For MD / MS:

MU-OET conducted by MU, Manipal

For Integrated M.Sc / M.Sc / B.Sc ( Nursing ) / BPT / BMLT:

Merit, based on marks in the qualifying examination and Entrance Test by SMU at SMIMS
