Alagappa University invites applications for Doctoral Fellowships in various disciplines in the Faculty of Arts. The applicants should have acquired Ph.D./Master degree from reputed institutions abroad with good academic/research credentials.

Alagappa University, a State University re-accredited with A grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), is located at Karaikudi in Southern part of India. Karaikudi is about 100 Kms away from Madurai and Tiruchirappalli Airports. The University established in the year 1985 has emerged as a centre of excellence in world class teaching, high ended research in the frontier areas of science, arts, education and management. Areas of Specialization: Fellowships are open with the following Professors in the Faculty of Arts; Social work- Women’s studies (Dr. K. Manimekalai, Dr. K. Murugan), Agricultural-Irrigation Economics (Dr. A. Narayanamoorthy), Tamil Literature (Dr.M. Pandi, Dr. S. Rajaram, Dr. S. Senthamizh Pavai), Library and Information Science (Dr.S. Thanuskodi).

Faculty of Arts

The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for doctoral fellowship:

The applicant should hold a Master Degree in the concerned discipline or in the Interdisciplinary area awarded by a recognized University.
The upper age limit for the fellowship is 25 years at the time of the submission of application.

Faculty of Science

The applicant should hold a Master Degree (M.S/M.E/M.Sc/M.Tech or equivalent) in Science or Engineering or in the Interdisciplinary Area awarded by a recognized University.
The upper age limit for the fellowship is 25 years at the time of the submission of application.

Faculty of Management

The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for doctoral fellowship:

The applicant should hold a Master Degree in the concerned discipline or in the Interdisciplinary area awarded by a recognized University.
The upper age limit for the fellowship is 25 years at the time of the submission of application.
