The Indian Veterinary Research Institute ( IVRI ) at Izatnagar was initially established as the Imperial Bacteriological Laboratory in 1889 for conducting research for the protection of Indian livestock wealth from the dreaded diseases. The foundation stone of the laboratory was laid by the Governor of Bombay on December 9, 1889 in about 2.2. ha of land presented by a philanthropist, Sir Dinshaw Monock ji Petit Bart adjoining the College of Science at Pune.

Fees Structure – 2015 :

The following fee and charges ( likely to be revised ) shall be payable by a full time student ( MVSc / PhD ) admitted to the Institute. Fee may be paid by bank draft drawn in favour of “ICAR, Unit IVRI, Izatnagar” payable on any scheduled Bank at Bareilly with the Cashier of the University Office.

Registration fee ( per annum )	Rs. 100.00
Tuition fees ( Annual )( to be paid in two installments )	Rs. 4000.00

Fee, hostel, water, electricity charges shall be payable before the student is permitted to register at the beginning of each semester.

Failure to pay the fees and other prescribed charges shall automatically result in the cancellation of registration of the student.

The IVRI reserves the right to recover the dues from the student. Where a student fails in the Preliminary Comprehensive Examination or in the final vivaâ€voce examination or is required to resubmit the thesis, he/she will be required to pay the prescribed examination fee again for each of such reâ€examinations.

Transcript / Duplicate Transcript : Rs. 100.00

Convocation fee : Rs. 100.00

Award of Degree in absentia : Rs. 600.00

Makeâ€up examination fee : Rs. 500.00

Duplicate of Degree Certificate, if lost : Rs. 500.00

Any other Certificate like Migration / Thesis submission : Rs. 50.00

Certificate/Course Completion Certificate(s), etc.

A late registration fee to be imposed on first day : Rs. 500.00 after due date.
