Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University ( KKHSOU ), established under the provision of the KKHSOU, Act’ 2005 enacted by the Govt. of Assam & published in the Assam Gazette ( extraordinary ) date 29.9.05 has been recognized by the Distance Education Council, New Delhi vide letter no. DEC / Misc / 07 / 5957 dated 03.10.07. Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University invites applications for Doctor of Philosophy ( Ph.D. ) programme 2015.Admission to the Ph.D. programme will be based on performance in the written test. Shortlisted candidates will have to make a presentation of their synopsis before a panel of experts. The PhD Programme will be, at present, confined to the following areas of research, namely, Distance Education, Social Sciences ( Political Science, Economics, History, Education, Sociology, Philosophy ), Management, Mass Communication, Commerce and select Languages and Literature ( Assamese and English ).
