Assam Rifles Recruitment for the post of  Riflemen ( GD ) Post details – 2015:

Assam Rifles has announced notification for the Compassionate appointment rally held at Shillong ( Meghalaya ), NRS-Guwahati to fill 64 Riflemen ( General Duty ) in Assam Rifles. Eligible candidates may apply in the prescribed application format on or before 30-01-2015. Details such as age limit, educational qualification, selection process, how to apply are mentioned below.

Eligibility Criteria:

Age limit:

Candidates age must be between 18-23 years as on 01-01-2015.

Age relaxation is applicable as per rules.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates should have Completed Matriculation / equivalent.

Physical Standards:

Height :

Male - 170 Cms,

Female - 157 Cms.

Chest :

Male Only - Unexpanded - 80 Cms,

Expanded - Minimum expansion 5 Cms.

Weight:

Proportionate to Height and Age as per Medical Standards.

Selection procedure:

Candidates will be selected on the basis of Physical standard test, Physical Efficiency Test.

Physical Efficiency Test:

Candidates who are found eligible on height parameters will undergo PET ( race ) followed by biometric identification & screening of testimonials and thereon chest and weight measurements by a board.

Written Examination:

The Commission will conduct written examination of candidates qualified in PST / PET in both online and off-line mode.

Gen, OBC, SC, ST Candidates need to pay the application fee of Rs.50/- through online payment mode or SBI challan mode and Physically handicapped candidates are exempted from paying any application fee.
