Combined Defense Service Exam ( CDSE )

The "Combined Defence Services" Examination (CDS) is conducted twice a year by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment into the Indian Military Academy, officers Training Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Indian Air Force Academy. The Notification for the examination is usually released in the months of October and June, and the examinations are conducted in February and November respectively. Only unmarried graduates are eligible to sit for the exam. Successful candidates are admitted into the respective Academies after an interview conducted by the Services Selection Board (SSB).

CDSE 2021 Application Form

Candidates are required to apply online only using the link http://www.upsconline.nic.in Go to UPSC CDS Online Application Form.

Start registration by completing Part I registration. Enter basic details asked in the form. It is advised that candidate refers to official documents while applying.

Registration :

Name, Gender, Date of Birth, Father's Name, Mother's Name, Aadhar Number, Nationality, Marital Status.
After completing first part, do Part II registration.
If applicable on gender and category, pay the application fee for UPSC CDS (2) 2019.
Check that all details in form are correct and submit it. Note registration ID and password as it will be used later to download admit card of CDS.

Payment :

You are required to pay a fee of Rs. 200/- (Rupees two hundred only) [except SC/ST candidates and others exempted from payment of fee] either by depositing the money in any branch of SBI by cash or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India / State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur / State Bank of Hyderabad / State Bank of Mysore / State Bank of Patiala / State Bank of Travancore or by using any Visa / Master Credit / Debit Card.

Photo & Sign Upload :

Before start filling up Online Application, you must have your photograph and signature duly scanned in the jpg format in such a manner that each file should not exceed 40 KB and must not be less than 3 KB in size for the photograph and 1 KB for the signature.

You should avoid submitting multiple applications. However, if due to any unavoidable circumstances you submit multiple applications then you must ensure that the applications with higher RID are complete in all respects.

In case of multiple applications, the applications with higher RID are entertained by the Commission and fee paid against one RID is not adjusted against any other RID.

You must ensure that while filling their Application Form, you are providing your valid and active E-mail Ids as the Commission may use electronic mode of communication while contacting them at different stages of examination process.

Candidates are not required to submit along with their applications any certificate in support of their claims regarding age, educational qualifications, SC/ST/OBC, and fee remission etc.

The eligible candidates shall be issued an e-Admission Certificate three weeks before the commencement of the examination
