  1. Saravanan’s father bought \(2{3\over4}m,2{1\over2}m\) and \(1{1\over4}m\) of cloth. Find the total length of the cloth bought by him?

  2. Add: \(3{2\over4}+7{2\over5}\)

  3. In the above situation, find the quantity of milk left over. So subtract \(3{1\over4}\)from \(5{1\over2}\)

  4. Simplify: \(9{1\over4}-3{5\over6}\)

  5. Maruthu, a milk man has 4 bottles of milk each containing \(1{1\over2}\) litres. How much milk does he have in all?

  6. 5 x 5 = 25
  7. Convert mixed fractions into improper fractions and vice versa:
    \(i)\ 3{7\over 18}\)
    \(ii)\ {99\over7}\)
    \(iii)\ {47\over6}\)
    \(iv)\ 12{1\over9}\)

  8. Multiply the following:
    \(i)\ {2\over3}\times6\)
    \(ii)\ 8{1\over3}\times5\)
    \(iii)\ {3\over8}\times{4\over5}\)
    \(iv)\ {3{5\over7}}\times1{1\over13}\)

  9. A rabbit has to cover \(26{1\over4}\)m to fetch its food. If it covers \(1{3\over4}\)m in one jump, then how many jumps will it take to fetch its food?

  10. (i) Find the sum of \(5\cfrac { 4 }{ 9 } \)and \(3\cfrac { 1 }{ 6 } \)
    (ii) Subtract \(7\cfrac { 1 }{ 6 } \) from \(12\cfrac { 3 }{ 8 } \)
    (iii) Subtract the sum of \(6 \frac{1}{6}\) and \(3 \frac{1}{5}\) from the sum of \(9 \frac{2}{3} \text { and } 2 \frac{1}{2}\)

  11. Using the given fractions \(\cfrac { 1 }{ 5 } ,\cfrac { 1 }{ 6 } ,\cfrac { 1 }{ 10 } ,\cfrac { 1 }{ 15 } ,\cfrac { 2 }{ 15 } ,\cfrac { 4 }{ 15 } ,\cfrac { 1 }{ 30 } ,\cfrac { 7 }{ 30 } \) and \(\cfrac { 9 }{ 36 } \)  fiIl in the missing  ones in the given -3 \(\times\) 3 square in such a way that the addition of fractions through rows, columns and diagonals give the same total

           \(\cfrac { 1 }{ 30 } \)

    \(\cfrac { 2 }{ 15 } \)
