The hypophyseal portal system is a system of blood vessels in the microcirculation at the base of the brain, connecting the hypothalamus with the anterior pituitary. Its main function is to quickly transport and exchange hormones between the hypothalamus arcuate nucleus and anterior pituitary gland.

The congestion of lungs is a symptom of heart failure. Thus, it is also called congestive heart failure.

Blood is a mobile connective tissue derived from mesoderm. It consists of fibre-fre fluid matrix, plasma and other cells. It is called so, as it regularly circulates in the body and takes part in transport of various materials like hormones, gass, etc.
Because serum does not have the coagulation/clotting factor.

It is due to the low concentration of O₂ in the air, which enables less O₂ binding capacity of the haemoglobin, this increases RBC count in persons living at high altitude.
